Chieko Dulepa (Oiwa)

One of the greatest and best international ballerinas of the 21st century. A beauty, adorable artist of dazzling virtuosity and no less dramatic power, be it in different roles, she enjoyed immense popularity not only in Japan but also throughout the world.
Trained in Japan under Reiko Matsuoka, Natalia Bolshakova and Vadim Gulyaev, Ms.Dulepa (Oiwa) began participating in international dance competitions at an early age, securing medals, First Places and Awards at The National Saitama Dance Competition (Japan), Japan’s National Dance Competition, The Kobe Modern Dance Competition (Japan), Asia Pacific International Ballet Competition (Japan) and appearing in festivals such as the Aberdeen International Youth Festival in Scotland and The Young Ballet Festival in Japan.
In 1999 Ms. Dulepa joined Ballet International (Indianapolis, USA) as a principal dancer, where she worked under the guidance of Elder Aliev, Irina Kolpakova, Vladilen Semenov and Tatiana Pali. Ms. Dulepa’s performing career also allowed her the opportunity to perform with Universal Ballet Company of Korea (US tour), La Gala des Étoiles (Canada), International Gala (Venezuela), Stars of the Kirov (Germany), the Aichi Dance Festival (Japan), New Jersey Ballet (USA), Cincinnati Ballet (USA) and the Reiko Matsuoka Ballet Company (Japan). It is with the Reiko Matsuoka Ballet School that Ms. Dulepa began her teaching career.
Ms. Dulepa’s repertoire over her performing career includes, among others the principal roles in the ballets: The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Paquita, Raymonda, Creation of the World, Grand Pas Classique, One Thousand and One Nights, Napoli, Giselle, La Bayadere, Coppelia, La Fille Mal Gardée, Diana and Acteon, Le Corsair and The Stone Flower.
Ms. Dulepa and her husband Vadym Dulepa co-founded the WBAC in Toronto, Canada in 2010, where they both serve as its artistic directors. In 2013 WBAC produced the first World Ballet Art Competition Grand Prix, attracting young talented dancers from around the world to showcase their talents and compete for prizes and scholarships, and dance alongside reigning international ballet stars in the WBAC – Grand Prix Gala performance - Dance Planet.
In 2015 ADMITTED TO MEMBERSHIP BY THE INTERNATIONAL DANCE COUNCIL CID, THE OFFICIAL WORLDWIDE ORGANIZATION FOR THE ALL FORMS OF DANCE.
