Nurlan Abougaliev

Nurlan Abougaliev, a native of Kazakhstan, is a former principal dancer with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. He has danced leading roles such as Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, Prince Desiree in The Sleeping Beauty, and Albrecht in Giselle. He also has danced principal roles in Balanchine’s Theme and Variations, Who Cares?, Agon, and Serenade.

Tyler Angell
Tyler Angell is an emerging dance artist and choreographer in Toronto. He began his dance training in his hometown of Kitchener, Ontario, where he trained in multiple disciplines of dance under the direction of Margo Hartley.

YAROSLAV (SLAVA) FADEYEV
Slava Fadeyev was born in St. Petersburg, Russia where he trained at the famed Vaganova Choreography Academy. Other graduates of this Academy include: Balanchine, Baryshnikov, Fokine, Makarova, Kondaurova, Lopatkina, Nijinsky, Nureyev, Pavlova, Zakharova, Vishneva and many others. Mavis Staines
Mavis Staines was born in Quebec's Eastern Townships and received her ballet training at Canada's National Ballet School.
Upon graduation from Canada’s National Ballet School in 1972, Staines danced as a first soloist with The National Ballet of Canada and The Dutch National Ballet until an accident cut short her performance career. She subsequently enrolled in NBS' Teacher Training Program, joining NBS' Artistic Faculty in 1982. She was appointed Artistic Director in 1989.
