Svetlana Caton

Former soloist with the Belgian Royal Ballet in Liège, Svetlana Caton is Founder and Artistic Director of the Lumière Ballet. In the USA, she danced with several Ballet Companies including the Wisconsin Ballet, the New Repertory Dance Theater, Fedicheva Ballet Company, Orlando Ballet and also performed as a free-lance artist. Her repertoire includes classical and romantic ballets as well as contemporary works.

She worked as rehearsal coordinator and ballet coach for the New York International Ballet Competition in Lincoln Center under Elona Copen and Igor Youskevich.

Her own choreographic works include full length story ballets: Hansel and Gretel, Snowmaiden, Menotti’s The Unicorn, the Gorgon and the Manticore, The Little Prince and more.

Her extensive teaching career includes ballet classes on all levels and the staging of classical productions in colleges, private schools and large institutions within New York as well as many other States.
