1️⃣ GENERAL INFORMATION

📍 Participation Information

Choreographers may participate in the WBAC International Choreographers Competition at any WBAC Grand Prix semi-final location worldwide.

Participants are free to choose the location that is most convenient for them.

All choreography entries will be presented live on stage during the WBAC Grand Prix semi-final events.

To participate, simply complete the online registration form and select the preferred competition location.

We welcome choreographers from around the world to join us at any of our international events.

2️⃣ MISSION & PURPOSE

WBAC International Choreographers Competition is created to:

• Support new choreographic voices

• Encourage artistic innovation in ballet

• Provide international visibility

• Expand global ballet repertoire

• Create professional development opportunities

This platform is dedicated not only to competition — but to creation.

3️⃣ AGE DIVISIONS

🟡 Young Choreographers

Participants aged 12–18 years old

Designed to support young creative talents at the beginning of their choreographic journey.

🟡 Advanced / Professional Choreographers

Participants aged 19 years old and above

Open to mature, emerging, and professional creators competing at an advanced artistic level.

📌 Age Determination

The participant’s age is determined as of January 1st of the current competition year.

For example, for the 2026 season, age is calculated as of January 1, 2026, regardless of the actual performance date.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to request official proof of age.

4️⃣ COMPETITION FORMAT

4.1. The competition is conducted as a live stage performance.

4.2. There is no pre-selection by video.

4.3. All officially registered participants perform on stage during the scheduled WBAC event.

5️⃣ CATEGORIES

• Solo Creation

• Duet Creation

• Group Creation

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to merge or divide categories depending on registration numbers.

6️⃣ DURATION REQUIREMENTS

• Solo: up to 2:30 minutes

• Duet: up to 3:30 minutes

• Small Group: up to 3;30 minutes

• Large Group: up to 5 :30 minutes

Works exceeding time limits may be subject to penalties or disqualification.

7️⃣ REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Participants must submit:

• Completed online registration form

• Title of work

• Selected category

• Music information

• Payment of participation fee

Registration is confirmed only after full payment is received.

Registration fees are non-refundable.

8️⃣ PERFORMANCE CONDITIONS

8.1. Music must be submitted in MP3 format by email to:

music@wbacompany.com

8.2. Stage dimensions will be those provided at the official venue. No specific stage format or frame is guaranteed.

8.3. Participants are responsible for adapting choreography to available stage conditions.

8.4. All performers must follow official scheduling and professional conduct standards.

9️⃣ EVALUATION CRITERIA

The Jury evaluates based on:

• Originality

• Choreographic structure

• Musicality

• Artistic vision

• Use of space

• Overall composition quality

All Jury decisions are final.

The Jury reserves the right not to award certain titles if artistic standards are not met.

🔟 RIGHTS & PERMISSIONS

Participants grant WBAC the right to use photos and video materials for promotional purposes and publication of results.

Choreographers retain ownership of their work.

Results will be announced during the 48 hours and published on WBAC official platforms.

1️⃣2️⃣ ACCEPTANCE

Submission of registration and payment confirms full acceptance of all Rules & Regulations.
